Urban Ethics. Conflicts about the good and proper conduct of life in 20th and 21st century cities (DFG-research group 2015 - 2021)

How should one live in the city?

In eight different cities the interdisciplinary research group "Urban Ethics: Conflicts about the good and proper conduct of life in 20th and 21st century cities" examines the answers to this question. We research on ethical controversies about the good and proper way of urban living, that condense in problematisations and models of an "ethical" conduct of urban life as well as diverse negotiation processes.
The sub-projects focus on Auckland, Berlin, Bucharest, Istanbul, Moscow, Munich, Singapore and Tokyo.
